Torigen is a private equity funded company delivering accessible and affordable companion animal immuno-oncology products for pets. Our initial patented product line utilizes a small portion of an animal’s tumor to create a personalized cancer vaccine. With over 10 years of supporting pre-clinical research, Torigen is committed to developing innovative veterinary cancer treatments.

We are in search of an experienced take-charge brand manager to help launch and drive the next standard of care in the veterinary immuno-oncology market.

You will be building and maintaining close relationships with surgical, primary care, and oncology veterinarians through direct efforts and through channel partners while initiating and developing strategic collaborations to prepare for our upcoming commercial product launch. This role will plan and execute educational and conference presence strategies that will bring Torigen closer to clinicians, and in doing so, help them understand the therapeutic value offered by Torigen’s transformative immuno-oncology treatments. The successful candidate will report to the CEO.

Role Responsibilities

  • Create new and foster existing relationships with external business partners such as market research agencies, designers, and clinical collaborators

  • Development of market segmentation, analytical reporting, competitive intelligence and prepare budgets and forecasts – turning research outcomes and data into meaningful and actionable information

  • Develop and manage the roadmap for gaining customer, market and competitive understanding

  • Closely collaborating and aligning with internal research and finance teams, and other key U.S. stakeholders to ensure optimal clinical and market data collection and use of the information

  • Provide effective leadership. Eventually build and manage team, assign work to ensure right allocation and availability of resources, monitor activities, evaluate performance and manage escalated/critical issues

  • Provide insight and recommendations to executive committee and board of directors regarding opportunities, successes and key learnings based on the research and data analysis of clinics, markets and competition

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in similar role with experience launching new animal health product(s)

  • Ability to supervise and manage multiple projects at the same time

  • Outstanding customer relationship building ability and sales management skills

  • Special preference to those with a scientific background

  • Bachelor’s required; MBA, DVM, or PhD preferred

  • A general understanding of veterinary oncology (detailed understanding a plus)

  • Strong digital and content marketing experience with an ability to utilize a wide range of communication channels, including traditional ones

The preferred person for this role should also possess the following skills:

  • Persuasiveness in presenting to customers, investors, board of directors, and peers

  • Development of market awareness by building nationwide educational programs (e.g. CE credit programs)

  • Preparation of financial forecasts and management budget

About the department

You will be given the opportunity to build your team from start. The position is based out of UCONN Health located in Farmington, CT. We estimate that approximately 30% of your time will be spent traveling.

Compensation:

  • Base salary, performance bonus, plus stock options

  • Candidates should live in or be willing to relocate to the Farmington, CT area.
